Ipod Video: Do I Need a Prog to Get Movies?
Hey, I need to know if I need a separate prog to put movies on my ipod. I’ve talked to a friend and I was told that I need to DL a separate prog because Itunes/Windows Media Player wont rip it (I’ve tried and it doesn’t work for me). I was told by someone els that I can get it on Kazaa/Lime Wire/Morpheus... but I tend to get allot of vorus's from those. Any one know were to get this prog, or if I really even need it?

You need a video converter. I dont remember where I found mine, but you need to convert the .mpg or .avi files to .mp4 format. From there just put the new file (.p4) with the rest of your music files and it should work fine.
The only problem I am having is the sound and the video seem to get off track, so that the sound lags behind the video. Dunno how to fix that.

How is this Guild Wars related?
Hi, my PC is a Home Theater PC video editor/converter/player/recorder that also runs GW.
If you want to convert video on your PC to watch on your iPod(and you DO need to convert first), try this:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=SUPER_1
It's free, no virus, no spyware, users seem to like it, and if you have questions, they have a forum over there as well.
edit:@Boots: That is very often caused by variable bit rate mp3 audio, and can be fixed by encoding to .wav, matching the audio and video length in .wav format, then re-encoding the audio to your target filetype(depending on your target playback device).
Try: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=Audacity
Or: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=BeLight
There are more steps involved, but you should really go to www.videohelp.com, and post there, or better yet, they have guides and search, as the forum users there will inform you.

Frist you need the movie file. Thats where the Limewire/etc suggestions came from. Thats illegall though.
Once you have a movie you want on your ipod, lets call it "movie1", we can start.
go to: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/
BEST ipod convertor I've found - the audio and video always are in sync for me. Note that you can't run it well in 800x600 resolution.
1) Now make sure your on the "convert" page in the program.
2) Hit "Transcode new video", find the file you want converted. Hit ok
3) Now back on the convertor page, hit "Start", its to the right.
4) Wait for it to do its magic...
Now you have a file thats formated for ipod.
1) Connect your iPod, right click it, and go to properties.
2) Make sure on its video tab you have it clicked where it automatically adds videos to your iPod that are in your library.
3) Add the new video file that Videora made to your iTunes library just like you would any file.
4) Update your ipod - its now on your ipod.

I got the SUPER program, but when I convert it then put it on the ipod, all it shows is a black screen for maybe a minute and then goes back to the menu. Am I doing something wrong?
